Father.
Africa.
In an African tribe, important family stories were passed down not through books, but through masks. Each mask was a reminder of the ancestors — those who came before us and whose stories continue to live on through generations. During celebrations, the masks were worn to honour the ancestors, tell children about their roots, and remind everyone that they are part of something larger — a family that stretches across generations. Family is not only those who are beside us, but also those whose story we carry forward.

Performance “Theater + Actor”
Artistic Director Mikhail Dolóko turns an introduction to the masks into a true performance: he tells their stories, reveals unexpected details, engages the audience in play — and transforms the experience of discovering the collection into a live theatrical event.
